Top Ten Reasons Why You Hate Your Relatives Than Friends

Often times, most people think that blood is thicker than water. There would be times this isn’t true. Sadly, people you can count on aside from your parents and sisters/brothers are those out of your bloodline. Those people who know more about you and judge less about your actions. People whom will see your imperfection as part of your character and will not conclude any further judgement . In one way or another, some relatives are superficially based by surname and blood type alone. Here are some reasons why you hate your relatives than your friends.

1. The Relative Whose Habit is Comparing Their Children with Others 

In a gathering they would always highlight their sons/daughters achievement. How great their kids in Math, English, History , Literature etc. They would often tell your parents the citations and awards of their children in school,  what course and university in college they’re planning their kids to send.They would always give the best of their children to the extent that they would start comparing their kids with you. They see their children as the best in the family because they go to a private catholic school and would start giving advises to your parents as how they must raise their kids in order to be as “great” as theirs. Insane.

2. The Relative Who Turns A Reunion into an Arena of Gold Bars

Here comes the reunion, or annual celebration to catch up with all family relatives. Of course, here comes the boastful relative in his new car with his whole family. He would always talk about how much he spent for his new “car toy” or how much his kids tuition fee in school. The relative who would bring on the table his share of food and shout “this ones worth…” Who would always ask you while holding his new phone,if you know what brand it is and its market price. The relative who would tell you that he dropped by Singapore just to grab a hot latte. Would bring gadgets and ask everyone utmost caution while touching each and would brag a lot of crap about his gold bars.

3.  The Two-Faced Relative

This is perhaps common among all. The relative who would please everything about you; your hair,skin color, eyebrows, lips, height, weight, etc. While he’s busy talking in front  about what he “likes” about you, at the back of his mind he’s completely shouting the opposite. He would wish that you were adapted because you’re not a fit in the family tree. After the gathering and everyone left the place, he would start sharing out hurtful comments with others and would start laughing out loud as  how big your smile was when he started pleasing you. He would tell others how horrible each of what he said was nice to you  and would think how dumb you were for believing. Just when they know, while he was saying those “beautiful things” in your face, you wished at the back your mind how great it would be if you could kick his horrid lips with your rubber shoes. Plastics go to hell anyway, they will never succeed. Karma.

4. The Religious Relative Who Judge so Easily without Hearing your Side 

We are all far from perfection. But some relatives are just as “perfect” as what they think themselves because they are spiritual people. When you mistakenly spoil something or did something against their grounds of  ”conduct” or “morality” They would put their own spin to what happened without even asking your story. You then became immoral and ungrateful under their own shallow standard. Who cares anyway? Your explanation is pointless so shut the fuck up. They should start practicing what they preach. As long as you know what is true, stay with it. They are not worth your time.

5. The Relative Who Would Direct you on What to Do But Fail to Tell it to Their Children 

Some relatives are just acting as if they are the best parents living today. Acting as if their family is far from being wrecked. This relatives would often tell you as what you should do in life to progress but they can’t even manage it with their own kids. They will give you out unsolicited advises that they tried giving to their kids but ended up unheard. It is a little bit obvious, you can’t trust them with what they’re sharing when evidently their own children didn’t follow the hell of them. Simple. Never dare teach Calculus to an Engineer if you’re a Nursing major. Get it?

6.  The Relative Who Sees you as a Human ATM the moment you’re Working 

There is nothing wrong sharing your blessings. But to entrust everything in your hands because you ended up with a good paying job after finishing college is a havoc of bull shit. As your’re starting to be financially capable and independent while living with a relatives place. They would ask you to pay bills. with an “s”, you never even paid before. They think you needed to have some financial responsibility because you’re already earning when in fact what you’re getting as your dough is just enough for your monthly needs.  They are selfish enough to think that what you’re earning only goes to your pleasures in life,such as partying, or lending it to a friend.

7. The Relative Whose Measurement of Success is Money 

Because they think they are earning bigger than your parents or you, they would tell you what job you must venture to get rich even if you hated their idea. They would always blister how small your work is when you would’ve had chosen a bigger and better option because you’re a professional, you have a degree. They would tell you in your face ,while they’re starting to “shower” saliva, how successful they are for having the following assets in their name;cars,house and lot,condominium, restaurant etc. They would start lecturing about how you should go through life in order to be successful like them when your own measurement of success is far better than their brainless definition. Money is their sole measurement of success. How idiotic.

8. The Relative Who Secretly Envy your Success

You are at the peak of your career, everyone in the family tree  finds you a model. But there is this relative who behind your back secretly spread beastly rumors about you and tell how easy your work was that he would’ve done better than you. Behind closed doors, he envied you for being the apple of the eye, he wanted that attention badly and would think better ways just to put you down.

9. The Relative as User

They only consider you as their relative when they can get something from you,may it be tangible or not. They will always tell others how good your relationship within the family when knowingly they only needed to do that because of some hidden agenda. They never liked you as who you are but with what you have. The moment they get what they want, it will take years for you to see them again. The worst part is when it’s your turn to ask for a favor, they will give lots of excuses and would fabricate stories. They are the best actors and actresses in the family tree, sadly, they will never receive Oscar trophies but a pack of garbage punched in their sloppy mouths.

10. The Relative Who Will Disagree with Any of the Above Listed 

They think, since they are older than you are, they actually know more about life. They are anti-social. They are not open to change. They are close-minded, egocentric and unappreciative creature who would never make it in  life because of their contaminated and smutty attitude. Their soul will be sent to the burning pits of hell until it turns into ash. They will come back however on earth as cockroach, mosquitoes and head lice.
